Getting team sizes right the first time

How to use a size chart for a whole team, what to do between sizes, and sizing for youth players and goalies.

Ordering for a team means guessing sizes for people you can't measure. These tips make it far less of a guess.

Use the product's own chart

Sizes differ from brand to brand and from product to product, so a player's usual size elsewhere may not be theirs here. Our size guide is measured from the factory's own patterns for each product, laid flat, so it's what you'll actually get.

Measure a jersey they already like

The easiest way for a player to choose: lay a jersey that fits them well flat, measure across the chest from armpit to armpit and down the back from the collar, and pick the size closest to it on the chart.

Between sizes?

For game jerseys worn over pads, go up. For tees, hoodies and teamwear worn on their own, go with the size they usually wear.

Youth, toddler and goalie sizes

Youth sizes are offered wherever the product is made in them, and some teamwear comes in toddler sizes too. Hockey goalies can order a goalie cut, sized like the jersey but roomier for a chest protector.
